So, how can we trigger the client to update for all users or is there another method to accomplish getting all users on a current version of the OneDrive client without giving every user admin rights? I read that new installations require the users to have admin rights, but updates do not.

We could deploy the new client out to users with SCCM, but it doesn't seem feasible because it would require us giving every user in the organization admin rights since new installations install in the user's context to their individual Windows users profiles AND also requires admin rights for installation. It looks like we can add the newest client into our master image, so new users will get it, but that doesn't help all the existing users. We want to get all the clients updates to a version that is at least new enough to support silent configuration and, ideally, updated to the most recent Enterprise Ring version as listed in the link below. They still have the version that came preinstalled with Windows 10 (Version. However, the clients all have a version of the client several versions older than current version.

Manually checking for updates finds no updates available or needed. All Windows Updates and Office 365 updates are applied. We have Windand 1709 systems with Office 365 installed.
